My father travelled the country quite extensively but his obsession with the railways meant that most of the photo's he took weren't really of the places he visited!  However, there are a reasonable amount that I think are of more general interest and that is why I created this section of the website.  People have a great sense of nostalgia for the 1950's and 1960's so I'm sure these photographs will be appreciated in a similar fashion to those he took of Birmingham.
